40% Cabernet Franc, 31% Petit Verdot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Manseng

After 5 frost events in 2020, we not only had fewer grapes to come into the winery, but the growing season had been shortened by nearly a month and a half, meaning that our fruit grown on the Western facing "Steep Face" was never going to fully ripen to make the red wine we love to make. So, inspired by work with Jake Busching for Orphan No. 3, I whole cluster pressed all three varietals, giving the juice no contact time with the skins. The white juice was barrel fermented and left on the lees for 9 months, until the following June.
